Michael Chaudron Obituary

Michael "Mike" Bryant Chaudron

Michael "Mike" Bryant Chaudron, was born on August 20, 1987 in Jackson, Mississippi. He grew up in Johnson City, Tennessee where he lived until relocating to Katy, Texas in 2014. Most recently, Michael moved back home to Jonesborough, Tennessee with his wife and children. He attended Boones Creek Christian Church with his family in Johnson City, TN. Above all, Michael's legacy was defined by always keeping Christ at the center of his life which was reflected to his children through sharing scripture, reading bible stories, and serving at church.

Shortly after college, Michael met Kaylin, his wife and best friend. They have been married for 11 years. Michael and his family lived in Jonesborough with their children, Jack (6) and Sadie (4), and two dogs, Smokey and Bandit. Michael treasured being a father and was a living example of Christ's love for his children. He was the most famous at home for making Saturday breakfasts that always included pancakes with fun flavors and toppings. He loved to read books with his kids, take them on gas station runs to pick out fun treats, and regularly organized family Mario Kart tournaments on the weekends. Michael was a beloved father and husband and brought indescribable joy into the life of his family.

He had an interest in historical studies, earning a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Tennessee. In 2014, he began his career as a teacher and coach. He taught history and leadership courses at McDonald Junior High, Stockdick Junior High, and Paetow High School in Katy ISD. He had a spiritual gift for leading young men through school leadership programs and sports. Beyond the football field, he also coached basketball and track in the off-season. He cared deeply for the well-being of his students and athletes, even following along with them after graduation.

Michael loved music, sports, and cheering on both the Tennessee Vols and Atlanta Braves. He was a voracious reader and was a storehouse of knowledge across a variety of topics. He was also a remarkable trivia partner, especially about sports and Harry Potter. One of his hobbies was using video games as a way to keep in touch with friends even from a long distance. He was an avid listener of podcasts, including his favorite show about Dungeons and Dragons- Critical Role. In the car or at the gym, you would always find him listening to a variety of genres from yacht rock to 2000s rock with a little mix of country. His favorite TV show series was Lost, but he would regularly quote The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Psych.

Those left to cherish his memory include: wife Kaylin Grace Chaudron, children Jack and Sadie Chaudron; parents Mike and Donna Chaudron; brother Andrew Chaudron, wife Cayla and son Luke all from Jonesborough, TN, formerly Katy, TX. In addition to his family, he is also survived by mother-in-law Ladonna Henegar and husband Blaine of Kingsport, TN; sister-in-law Kennedy Williams of Katy, TX; brother-in-law Casey Williams of Kingsport, TN; grandparents-in-law Danny and Glenda Williams of Elizabethton, TN, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Coach Chaudron coached, taught, and mentored my two boys in junior high. He was a good man, and a great role model for my boys. He coached my older son in both basketball and pole vault, and he taught my younger son in a computer class. He sincerely cared about each of my boys individually, and he always asked about my older son after he'd moved up to high school. It never ceased to amaze me how he knew each of my boys by name although he'd taught thousands of students over the years. My younger son always loved how Coach would throw in trivia questions about Lord of the Rings and Star Wars on their tests. He truly influenced both my boys at such a critical age in their lives. Our family will be forever grateful for his mentorship and sincere care. May the Lord wrap His loving arms around the Chaudron family at this time. Love and blessings from Katy, TX.

Coach Chaudron was my history teacher. I graduated high school in 2020, and he is one of the few teachers I actually remember. My heart breaks hearing of his passing. All the love to his family.
